Back from the Groomer's

I have to work fast to get pictures of Tyke while she is still CLEAN - she heads straight for the dirt!

She already has a little on her mouth!

By tonight, she will probably be all dirty again - but at least she has fun!

Annie, I checked her a couple of weeks ago - the last time she was still enough! She is about 17 inches at the shoulder now, and about 30 lbs. She wiggles too, so her weight is a bit of a guess too, at least when we do it at home. She just turned 6 months. so she has a little more growing to do! Her mom and dad were fairly small, so I'd be surprised if she gets over 21 inches. Lucile at Birdwalk estimated about 21 inches and 45 pounds. Of course, if she keeps eating COOKIES WITH GRANDMA in the mornings (I caught them again today!) her weight will be MORE than that!

Tyke just hopes she is as beautiful as Annabelle and Tanner when she grows up!

To answer both questions - YES, Tyke is still getting up on the couch - that battle is WON!!!! GO TYKE!

and YES - Mom likes this cut much better than her first idea of getting Tyke cut to look like an Airedale! Poor puppy looked like a BABOON!

Mom forgot that when she was growing up with all those 'dales, they didn't cut them at all, and most of the pictures of her childhood dogs (they had 3 or 4 Airedales growing up) looked almost like a Teddy Bear cut!
She says this cut is much more like it!

Mary, I wish I had taken a picture of her BEFORE her bath - what a little ragamuffin! She had gotten dirty a few weeks before she was due back at the groomer, and I bathed her myself - I just can't get her hair so nice and fluffy like Deloris does - even with the hair dryer. She had curls all over, but her hair was just FLAT looking! I haven't gotten up the nerve to pull out all the excess hair in Tyke's ears anyway - I leave tha for the groomer too. My vet said she had never seen such hairy little ears, so I clean them with a little bit of alcohol each week, and get the stray hairs pulled about once a month. She fights me like a wildcat just wiping her ears down with a cotton ball - I can imagine what it would be like trying to pull hairs!
