Dexter looks adorable!! Do you DO him?
Okay, so now I'm wondering........does an F1 require "doing" too? Or can they just be left "as is"........LOL

haha...no we took him to Petsmart for grooming...we take him about every 8-10 weeks. We can cut Kirby ourselves (although it's not the most attractive cut). I think F1s require much less maintenance...their hair grows more slowly. Dexter's hair grows like a weed!

This would be NICE!! Although, I've always taken my dogs to a groomer every 6 weeks or so.........get nails cut etc..........so it'll work to just trim him up a bit there! OMG! I'd be soooo bad at that!

OH!! Bogie had his first bath the other night...........he was stinky for some reason.......PHEW!!
We stuck him in the tub...........lol.......he was the BEST!!!!! He just loved it and listened........I couldn't believe how GOOD he was! My Springer HATED baths!! This is such and UPPER!! He also let us clean his ears w/o freakin' out!!

I love Dexter's NOSE!! So cute!! He's a sweetie!!

Lindamarie......f1's do NOT need grooming
Max..i trim his beard short, his bangs an inch or so, and that's about it for the most part.

Handsome boy Dexter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Denver requires no grooming, other then a little sanitary trim(which I have only had to do once) he is 19 months old.

Leslie,

I know you've said this before, but how short do you cut Dexter? His haircut is just beautiful!

Well...I tell the girl 1/2 inch all over, but it's really more like an inch. My husband is happy cause he likes him a little longer

thank you all for the complements

He looks terrific! He is just irresistable. I was looking at pink-nosed dogs on the poomix rescue site but I have to STOP.

no we've never really tried. He is quite squirmey and I'm not sure we could do it although I've been tempted to try. Maybe when he gets a little older. The groomer said this time he was the best behaved of any of the times she has groomed him...haha...

You know it's a bad sign when you take him in and everyone there remembers him and his name (and we only go once every 2 months)...I just wonder what type of entertainment he provides the workers while he's there
