Default Taking his new role seriously

Okay so Dexter is adjusting to our new schedule. He's spending quality time with each of us when we're available, and being a pretty good boy in between. Now he has a new thing. He's realized all of a sudden that he is home alone at night with mommy. Mr. Mellow who has only barked a few times before and never growled, is now Mr. Watchdog. Every noise he hears makes him growl. He has the cats walking on eggshells, as he takes the role of protecting mommy quite seriously. Little does he know that this is the safest neighborhood on earth and no one ever locks their doors or their cars. Oh well, if it makes him feel important, I'll let him think he's chasing off the bad guys. It's so funny how they develop new quirks that they really believe in wholeheartedly.

He's off to the laundry room on the first floor landing with me now. Never know when a killer lint ball may attack.

Rita....watch out for CASPER the freindly ghost. Max is like your dexter.and for some reason ONLY Max sees Casper, running and barking and chasing after him. Daily i have to tell Max , "Casper is gone now Max ok?"hahahahhahhaa

and there are fierce shadows at night too ....Rita i am sure Dexter is going to fully protect you from every sound within a mile radius. You are sooooooooooo lucky!!!!

That's how are our boys are too---protecting the homestead from any dangers. I'm sure the neighbors really appreciate it.

Hey AnnMarie, you have a Casper too? I'm thinking it was Casper who devoured my bedroom slippers!

Nobody....
not a person or a cat or a squirrell or a cricket can pass my house
without Denver barking and growling his hello's to everybody and
everything. He always turns his head in that famous Doodle fashion
when he is finished as if to say "Hey Mom I took care of everybody
and you are safe now" Got to love it!!!!!
