just thought i'd say Peanut is home from being spayed and a bit disoriented and still tired.
She does have a skin condition we are giving her antibiotics for since you couldn't see it till they shaved her. It's almost like acne. anyway she's fine and i am sooo happy to have her home Max was crying half the day looking for peanut. Now that she's home we can't let them play yet. Max is really confused and cries one minute, then lays down and cries , then noses Peanut's crate then comes back and gives the doodle eyes sad look.

I am so happy that Peanut is home and that this ordeal is behind you both. It is always a worry...but 'Lil Peanut is one tough cookie, just like her mama!
Hope that EVERYTHING is going as well... I'm thinking of you. Hope you got my email... Hugs, Jac |

Welcome home Peanut sweetie......hope you feel better soon.
Dexter says Woof to Peanut, in sympathy of your surgery; and for you and your mom not to worry. He also says Woof to Max, in the hopes that he takes good care of his sister.

Awww what a sweetheart Max is! And hugs and lots of love to Peanut. She'll be up and around annoying Max before you know it
I hope she is already starting to feel better!

thanks everyone.. HOWEVER i have a question
Peanut is laying at my feet since she's been home and an hour ago she constantly tries to lick her spot Sooooooo till i can get a cone tomorrow morning is there any sugestions to help stop her from licking it? i keep saying NO and she stops but then goes back in a short time to licking it again by the way, max is being really good and just lays by her side and doesn't bother her at all

Yep, put a t-shirt on her! Tie it around her bottom so that she can't get to her wound...
Also, there is also a product called "Bitter Yuck" which is like bitter apple only water based so it won't sting wounds...bitter apple is alcohol based, or something, so it is not to be sued on flesh, but the bitter yuck can be. I like the t-shirt idea. Good luck! |

Ok this sounds silly and it is late at night but where or how to tie the tee shirt? you mean in between her legs ? hahhaha my mind is shot right now and i should be in bed as i just put max and peanut to bed. how's the doodles doing and CONGRATS on the mating pair !!!!!

I know, it sounds funny, and I have actually never had to do it, but I have seen pictures of others who have put t-shirts on their girls for that very reason...so I would think a very small shirt (yours or your youngest son's) and put her head through the head part and her front legs through the arm part and then just form the back part like a diaper up and around her tail!
Thanks on the congrats! I was so shocked...but very happy! At first I worried that she just wasn't built for breeding...but they tried again about an hour ago and it was much easier for her this time...so we are on our way to baby GDs! |

Hey Peanut! So glad to hear you're home......don't...I repeat DON'T lick or bite on your boo-boo!!! It will take all that much longer to heal, and you won't be able to play with Max!!!
Your pals, Raleigh and Molly!
