Staples are out!!

Went to the vet and got the staples out of Jonah's foot this morning! He was such a trooper. One staple came out fine, the second was twisted, and the third was upside down. It took 3 vet techs and the vet to get it out!. He only cried once....really must have hurt. I said to the vet..."don't tell me you have to cut them out and restaple?!" Somehow, he didn't get that I was only kidding!

Surprisingly enough.....no charge! We did need heartguard for Miko, so while we were waiting, he played the crowd and had everyone oohing and ahhhhing! He does know how to perform. There was a beautiful chocolate 2 yo female lab there and her owner told me that she did the same thing to her paw a while ago on a heating register, never made a sound, but blood everywhere. What pain levels these guys have!

Yep, it was a great day! Got to go visit lots of people...but they kept pinching my paw and I didn't like it!! I mean, for 2 weeks, I wasn't allowed to lick it, but strangers can pinch and hurt it?? Not fair! I can lick it all I want now! But I did get to go to the store and pick out a new toy and leash....snuck some more treats too!!

OH i am soooooooo happy to hear the staples are out. Now JONAH can run and play outside without a sock and you can stop worrying as well Gene!

OUCH on taking out the staples though.

From Max: i haven't done it but next time Jonah try a deep throated low growl, might make them work harder and easier and possibly quicker

Glad to hear you got your foot back whole!

now go do some awesome doodles runs making up for lost time. OH where'd your dad hide the sock?

Jonah is so thrilled to be "bootless". He keeps coming up to me and placing that paw in my lap like he's saying..."look what I can do" as he stretches his toes! He is back to zooming...not that the booboo ever slowed him down any!
