I had my daughter and my ex wife in my backyard since my daughter wanted to show her mom the toboggan that santa left. Well, my dog, who is great with everyone, decided it would be a pretty good idea to pee on my ex's leg. This is one of those rare times he lifted his leg too. He peed then ran away. I WAS FLOORED! even my 3.5 year old daughter was laughing. Needless to say, I sure heard about it for the 30 seconds before I hung up the phone! It was one of those moments that nobody will believe and should have had a camera! I am still laughing just thinking about it.

I had a Weimaraner Lab mix. He was in the car with me when I was watching my son play football. My ex walked up to the car and while he was talking to me, he started elbowing me through the window.........so Toby bit his elbow! All that knew my ex and how wicked he was cracked up!! My dad especially!

I hike on trails all over with my dogs, in the woods and along the lakes, and meet a lot of people...
My one dog, my first doodle, Tuesday, was bought to accompany me. We had an incident a few years ago, in which we kept running into a young guy in his 20's. I changed the days and the time we walked, and I was still running into him. On day he popped out of some thick bushes and was walking towards us. Tuesday ran over to him, jumped up and body slammed him with all 80lbs of her. He was shocked & I apologized, and we proceeded with our walk. 2 weeks later, as we walked by those same bushes, Tuesday threw up her nose, ran to my side, and growled the meanest growl I have ever heard from her (haven't heard it since either). I told her & Marley(her son)to heal and we jogged right out of there. Don't know if he was in the bushes that time, but I never saw him again. I recently found out from a couple that has hiked that trail even longer than me, that there was a rape that occurred on the trail, around that time Occasionally when we now hike, when someone wants to talk about my dogs or meet them, Tuesday will put herself between me and the person. If they reach out to pet her, she will back away, I do not make her let them pet her. I trust her judgment and quickly go on my way. So yes...I believe dogs can sense evil/trouble. I now walk with 3 dogs....although my Goldendoodle Easy doesn't have a mean bone in her whole body, I feel that Marley & Tuesday would protect me if a situation came up. Generally they are extremely friendly... |
