As you probably know, Bogart goes everywhere with me.
This saleslady had to video Bogart for her sister who also has a Labradoodle. The quality isn't so good from a cell phone.. So, here's my guy doing his HIGH FIVES, bows and sits. He was a little slow, but not so bad! Click on it to view!

They laugh likes they think they just said something funny about a chubby baby or something!I get really defensive! He weighs 69LBS and no, his ribs aren't sticking out, so I suppose he could lose a few pounds, but he's so SOLID! I feel more muscle than fat. He's also boxy like his English Yellow Lab mom which gives the appearance of a fatty body. Since he gets lots of treats all day when working or out with me....( we us the Solid Gold expensive ones.... Anyway, thanks for the compliment........look at me.......you give a compliment and I go on explaining how I don't think he's fat!

i can understand that Boggie is probably really active and has occasional
periods where he s just a couch potato..then Toby is completely opposite..mostly a couch potatoe with an occasional period of high activity.. though we re teased that he s fat..i just say he s big boned.. with as much hair as our doodle s have i can understand where people think they re really bigger than they are..im betting Boggie when wet, looks like a big lab..but, Toby being a F1b looks like a over stuff d poodle.

Toby looks great!! .......and yes, Bogart can be a couch potato too. I love when that happens b/c I know I have a day off! When Bogart is wet...... WHenever I have him groomed, I'm always telling them DON'T TOUCH HIS LEGS! He needs every ounce of hair he can have on them to match is head and body! During the summer if we manage to make it to Lake Michigan, he runs the beach. I make him go all the way into the Lake to get thorougly wet, because if not, he looks like a house built on stilts!

Boggie is a service dog..and also a therapy dog..
being a service dog..under the American Disability Act..he s allow d to go just about anywhere the owner is allow d.. service dogs are train d to perform an assistance to the handler..but, no certification is necessary..service dogs are not pets..whereas therapy dogs are pets..and must be certified.. the certification process can take a bit time..includes temperament, aptitude and obedieance test..once a organization issues a certification..it assures that the dog will be insured if by chance any damage or harm occurs during a visitation..befor a visitation can occur..the team must provide health/shot records, a list of OC completed, vet and a copy of the original certification as well as copies of the ID cards.. Boggie went thru quite a bit of training..and it shows.. those wishing more information about getting their dogs into therapy work may as well chime in on this thread..LindaMarie and myself would be glad to provide information on how to get started..
