Default counter surfing

It's been awhile since I have been on here. To let you know how Mandy is doing she has now learned to counter surf! Shortly before Thanksgiving she started this new trick and so far hasn't come up with much, just some butter. And of course she doesn't try this when we are in the kitchen! I am not sure why she started this now, considering she has been tall enough to do it for a long time now. So much for being a Canine Good Citizen!

You must have a previous trainer if Mandy has her CGC.
My advice would be to give them a call and stop this behavior.

Good seeing you again!!

Yes she was in training since she was 10 wks old and finished when she was 8 mons with the CGC certificate and Advanced training. And now that she is almost 2 she may need a little refresher course. She doesn't counter surf that often, mainly since I don't leave things out very often. Luckily she hasn't decided to attack the loaves of bread on the counter. She tries to be a little sneaky about it.

a good review is always a good idea..seems our intermediate class is the longest, 12 wks long..Toby s taken it twice for review and it really keeps him on his toes..mine too

one thing we did work on alot..the STOP and NO command..

STOP..stop what your doing until released..then the NO command..

NO..never, ever, ever again..

just take s repetition..
