Default My Little Seahorse

Our doodle went in for her first haircut at Petsmart. It was a good deal for puppies only. Bath, trim around eyes, feet and privates + cut nails for $15. Problem is I think the gal thought our Wakely was a poodle and shaved the entire top of her snout . Now she looks like a seahorse (her new nickname)

Moral of the story is - ask questions and give direction BEFORE you drop off your dog - I blame my wife.

Cute video, and cute dog Hair grows back (except mine). We took our Golden Retriever to Pet Smart and they cut her the way they thought she should be cut. I wasn't too upset, and on the next visit I described exactly to the groomer how we wanted her cut. From then on they've done an excellent job. When our Labradoodle Murphy is ready for her first cut, I'll also bring her there - except I tell the groomer exactly how we want her cut.

im not too impressed with our Petsmart..the first time Toby ended up with a poodle cut..the second time i had learned alot from this site and took the time to explain what i wanted..when i picked him up..ANOTHER POODLE..

so, about this video..it s kinda scary..

as a result..i do my own grooming..though it takes a few days, it does end up what i want..

The groomer we use does a great job on our Golden, and I only have her work on JaiMahasi (aka "Moose"). We used to groom one of our cockers (several years ago), however, it was a long, frustrating process. If I had the setup and proper equipment, I'd do it myself. For our golden, it is worth the $$$ to have her done professionally. She knows she looks good, and for a few days has an extra confident look about her.
For Murphy, our Labradoodle, we will try the same groomer, at least once.

at the same time..the wife takes the saluki in for her cuts..those long flowing locks take special care...probably similar to the goldies ..

my brother brought his goldie over while vacationing..and the shedding just drove me nuts...so, i took Toby thinning rake to the hair..my brother just about cried..but, he had a free doggie sitter for 2 wks while he was playing golf in Hawaii..

but, when come to doodles..all they know is the poodle cut..
