Smile NEW UPDATE ON PEANUT and ...

hellllllllooooo everyone to both those that know me and to those just meeting me.

PEANUT my goldendoodle is slowly recuperating from a severe injury where she completely tore her CCL (tendon) in one leg, partially in her other leg and also tore the muscles in lower back. Right now she's beginning to walk a bit better but still ON LEASH walks only and short ones. We might be getting a MRI as soon as i save up the money as there might be a disc problem in her back. We have to see a specialist if she doesn't improve in the next 6 weeks.

MAX misses playing with Peanut but DAVE HONEY (my fiance) and I play games with MAX to keep him occupied etc.

I am also still recuperating from my surgery and well it's been busy (reason for my absence).

ANYWAY I always look at the bright side of things and say
"NEVER a DULL MOMENT" at my house hahhahaaaaaaaaaaaa

so helloooooooooo to all the new members I haven't been able to get to in the introduction section.

OH PEANUT and MAX both went to a groomer today and WOW Peanut is like a soft teddy bear and we can once again see Max's eyes.

PS peanut is the one attempting to jump in my avitar and Max is hidden in that picture i must change soon

I'm so glad to hear! I absolutely love that goldendoodle and the stories you have shared with us! Please keep us updated on the next 6 weeks and we will definitely still be praying for her.

Layla and I send kisses and hugs to her!

Big hugs and smoochies coming your way!
Now.......here's what we all wanna hear! PEANUT IS WELL! And annmarie is WELL!
Know that, seriously, you both are in my prayers each and every day and night....SO....I expect to hear better news each and every time you write.
I'll give you a holler when things calm down a bit here too.
Right now...I'm fighting the bank and L 4-5 issues where surgery was done after my car accident. Annmarie, we should just be locked up WITH our doodles in some retreat center where we can just be HAPPY!

THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH !!!! HOWEVER, Peanut has gone downhill again

this is a day to day thing plus she might have a UTI? She's peeing constantly today i keep walking her so much and she peed in the house 2 times on top of 6 pees outside since 7am!! Hopefully Saturday DAVE can drive her to the VETS. I can't drive right now for another week!!! grrrrrrrr I have a NEW DR well versed with my type of surgery and meds. So rather than taper down I went cold turkey off my pain med!!! BUT let's say I have severe nausea along with other problems that are temporary and should stop in 2 weeks or less. LUCKILY I got wa med for the nausea but it's the same kind given to chemo and radiation patients ...well let's say driving privileges are gone till i stop taking the nausea med hahhaaaaaaaaaaaaa ( nausea med makes ya dizzy, uncoordinated and knocks you out totally hahhaaa YOU nap for sure! hahaa) I have a NOTEBOOK so i write down when i take my meds and when Peanut has to take hers to keep everything straight haha I also am on a BLAND DIET just like the one we feed our doodles at times. This does have a humorous side when you think about it hahaaaa

I TELL YA, NEVER a DULL MOMENT for sure at my house...poor peanut, i am giving her Cranberry tablets today and i have 3 dr appts tomorrow. MY son is seeing if he can take off of work as he can't miss classes at his college as it's midterms right now.

Sooooooooooooo let's say I am keeping up a POSITIVE ATTITUDE rather than a downer one.

I MUST TAKE a pic of my Doodles. PEANUT GOT a Teddybear Cut yesterday, the groomer picked up and dropped off both Peanut and MAX for me!!! WOW!!! talk about an understanding groomer PLUS she is $35 less even with tipping than my previous groomers. MAX lost his curls but looks so cute with his new cut and isn't shedding at all now !!!

LINDA.......hang in there honey, give me a call when you can. I stopped all pain med and another one. I feel better where they did surgery 80% of the pain is now gone----but other areas hurt like no tomorrow. AND my the insurance approved a Softub hot tub
so this 6 person hottub hopefully arrives next week and soon i'll get relief being able to do hydrotherapy at home.
I WISH i could let peanut use it as hydrotherapy as a heated pool would be the best therapy for her right now.

I apologize for being so long winded. I have so much going on at the moment and HOPE i don't sound like i am whining. I am just so WORRIED about Peanut plus i don't have the money for a MRI and only have a verbal agreement that my job with a promotion is being held for me right now. I also might go back to college in January while working. FOR NOW i am happy i am home though as PEANUT does need constant care again.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.....it helps and means alot to me

Hi Annmarie - I'm a fairly new member here (and Murphy) , and I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. What a contradiction - all the love an affection you are giving to Peanut and Max, and I'm watching Animal Cops - Philadelphia in which it makes one sick to see how some people treat their pets - so sad.
Regards,
Bill

NEWEST UPDATE hahhaa oh one day i might type FINAL good update

I was RIGHT....i was on hold for 15min so when my fiance got home i just put PEANUT IN our car and drove straight to the VETS with PEANUT and a urine sample

ohhhhhhhh poor PEANUT had a severe UTI BUT is on antibiotics and i bought the USO urinary food as a preventative aid. AS with the way Peanut pees with her injury i was right, she stays wet even though i use baby wipes on her but forget sometimes to wipe her DRY thus her NEWEST MED with the food should help

had to laugh though ......she refused to eat her new food hahhahaa
so i added a tad sweet potato, cheese, and pineapple. NOW how she picked out crushed pineapple and other goodies is beyond me but the food was left intact
this is a $60 bag of food.......but given time she'll eat it like she did once before in the past i just forgot to add her kibble in.

AND YES I tend to laugh as life is crazy here that i keep a NOTEBOOK to keep her med schedule and mine on TIME and straight.

ANYWAY.........anytime your doodle EVEN has ONE Day of peeing way too much then seems fine, then maybe pees a few days later in the house BUT IF IT HAS A STRONG FISH LIKE or tunafish like ODOR, PLEASE TAKE A SAMPLE IN and don't be like me. WE were told by another vet in the practice a while back when she didn't have a UTI that certain foods can add odor to urine which is true
BUT TO BE SAFE, TAKE in the sample and i guess learn from me.

DAVE and I felt sooooooooooo bad for Peanut and guilty but with everything going on the vets were right, we were doing our best and I was unable to get a sample till she peed on the tile floors.

OKAY...........anyway UP for helping with that PEANUT"s tendons heal and her disc in her back is fine?

YES i too watch that dog/cop show and it makes me sick when we treat our doodles like our own kids taking the very best care of them the way we know how and still things happen.........such is life and it gets better i hope.

the people on those dog cop shows........they should be jailed for some of the heinous, cruel, etc crimes they commit against animals.

PS thanks for letting me share my story and partial ignorance YET with a good outcome so far. WHEN MEMBERS share we all learn and sometimes help someone else Avoid the same mistakes or help with illnesses etc for other doodles

It's been a while since I've posted on this site....but thought I'd send you well wishes.
Nobody likes hearing about dogs (or owners) in distress.

I agree. Poor annmarie, Peanut and Dave have had their plates full for far too long. It's time for keeping up the prayers.
I soo wish I lived near you, annmarie, so I could HELP!
