Bogart and I had such a fun day!

Trying to enjoy the last days of summer!
It was absolutely GORGEOUS today, so Bogart and I set out for a 4 mile walk! We enjoyed every minute!

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. How do you figure out how long to walk with a dog? I would love to take Milo for a longer walk, but sometimes even on a short walk round the block, he will just sit down, and give us this are you crazy look. My husband the softie then carries him home, my daughter bribes him with treats, and I wonder if the dog is training us

How old is your doodle?
Bogart will be 3 this month. You can't do long walks with a puppy until their around a year old, I think.
Puppies can hurt thier joints and hips on long walks. They need to develop and grow first.

i have to hand it to you two, Linda and Bogi..im afraid 4 miles is just out of my league..the best we can muster is 3 1 mile walks a day..

im sure Toby and Lucky can go much longer..im the weak link

and you did it in flip-flops? my poor feet are hurting just watching..

Great pictures! The boys and my husband walk Rocky around the block each evening.... they make the rounds through the neighborhood.... I WISH I could walk 4 miles! Go you!!!

I KNOW! It's amazing to me as well. I started with those new ones called FIT FLOPS..........much more foot friendly and cushy!
Those in the picture are CROCS.
Okay, now I'm bragging ........BUT....we did 7.5 miles on Sunday and 5.5 yesterday as it started to rain and I had a sweater on that I was ruining.

I absolutely LOVE to walk!.......and believe it or not, it helps me with my disability. Loooooooong story.

What is strange about Bogart is that he comes home from one of these long walks and is still pent up with energy!

He has to run free in the yard and chase a ball for awhile......then he konks out!

We have been taking short hikes with Milo too! We take him to a dog park nearby and he comes home scruffy, happy and exhausted. I really need to go see the how to upload pics again, I keep failing. It says it uploaded but then I can't see them!

Bogart is adorable! Reminds me of Lucy with the lighter face with beard and the multi-colored curlier leg fur. So cute!
