Well it seems like only yesterday i got my little boy at barely 2 months old... And to think in 6 days he will be 5 months! Gosh things have happend fast! And i am so pleaseed with the little guy! He brings many cuddles and ssmiles to our family. Now i promise i will upload two pics of him to compare... One my 2 month old, second my 5 month old!!! All grown up, he is.
On a random note, he is almost finished losing his puppy coat. He seemed to have a very scruffy 'hair' coat as a pup, LOL! But he seems to be developing a beautiful fleece coat... Of a rather dark and very handsome caramel!!! Compared to his light caramel and in some parts, white fur before! I am so proud of him. On another not our border collie Jess will probably be leaving us. She is much to large and boisterous for our small yard and we can simply not exercise her enougb. I leave around 7:50 each morning and i am rarely home before 5 from school, and its a similiar situation with my parents work. Luckily we have good friends who live on a farm with a 1 year old border collie too. And they are looking for a border collie the same age. I love her so much, but its cruel and selfish to keep her locked up. Am i doing the right thing here???!!??!! |

Hi! It is great to hear from you and I am looking forward to the updated pics!
It must be a very difficult decision to rehome your border collie, but if you are making the assessment because of what is best for the dog, then it is the right decision. Sounds like it will be an excellent home and you may be able to visit. That would be good. Your doodle might get lonesome...so be sure that you are able to spend some time training him before you leave him for the day alone or he may begin to act out too. He may not need to when he has company, but if he is not used to being alone, it could happen...just plan for the drastic change in the doodle's life and prepare to ease him into his new routine. |
