Hi, I thought I'd share the pictures of my pups...they are now 5 weeks old. The black pups are turning blue (silver) and will have coloring like Lexie and Bayley.
The flat coated pups have really nice coats...I don't believe that they will be shedders, but we will have to wait to see for sure. The pictures don't really show how thick and long their coats are, but the face shots were just too cute not to post. Here is a link to our updated blog pictures: http://www.gabbyjackranch.org/content/d ... served-yet I'll download some on Photobucket and post soon... |

Patiently tapping my toes waiting for new puppy pics........
Are they really 5 weeks already? Time sure is flying by. I looked at the link.....Jac, seriously, is the first picure for real? It looks like a painting behind the pup, is that your view from your yard. Wow. The second black pup is going to silver for sure. Is it showing signs of silver anywhere else too? I remember Anabelle, she was a great silver, and a true silver is a gorgeous coat. |

I was coming here tonight to hound you on new pup pics and all I can say is WOW!
You have some super coats there Jac! Beautiful, beautiful puppies. They look huge in the pictures... I can't see mine being that big in a week, but I guess that it is possible. With less than 4 weeks to go until mine are ready to go in to homes, you know where I will be.... curled up in the pen with them. Just like children..they grow WAY too fast!

Hey Todd...thanks! We do have a postcard property! I love it here! The picture was taken just outside the puppy nursery window because as nice as it looks, it is still pretty cold!
I am waiting on the pictures too! I am downloading 72 of them onto Photobucket! LOL I want to be sure I have a good selection to show you the coats! When Lexie was about 6 weeks old, she started to silver around her nose so I don't know if the pups will be totally silver or not...I do have one puppy that was totally silver, but most are blue; silver on the face and legs, black everywhere else. The one you noticed is markedly silver though, and this is very early so I won't be surprised if he is totally silver when he is an adult. I sort of like the silvering...I guess it has just grown on me. My photos are about half way downloaded... |

Hi Judi, we were posting at the same time! LOL
Yep, they will be gone before I know it...and I will be sad again...there is nothing like a litter of puppies to liven things up! |

The labby coat reminds me a lot of Aero at that age, shorter but thick and full. Any shedders yet? The keeper is lovely, very English cream, lol. The black points are striking, a very nice contrast. She looks very soft.

Thanks Todd...the Labby coat is thickening up a lot...just in this last week. I thought it was going to be very Labby but now I think he will have a coat similar to Montana's (the service dog for Dr. Propp.)
All of the coats are very soft and silky...no shedding yet, none at all. And I do pull on their little coats every day (not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough to get a shedding hair or two...but none!) My Labby girl's coat is VERY thick...and is about an inch and a half long. She is really a pretty girl and so smart and curious. And, I agree that her black points set off her features very nicely. Very English Cream indeed! |
