Every now and then.........

I have to express how much I LOVE MY DOODLE!!
I loved every single dog I have ever had and they cannot be replaced........but Bogart is the BEST dog I've ever had.....and I had some good ones!
His nature is unbelievable! I mean this guy is never in a "bad mood".
For over 2 years now, my husband and I smile and hardly a day goes by when we don't say, "I just LOVE Bogart!
Perhaps it's because he is a SD and Therapy dog........and he goes with me everywhere I go. He hasn't ever spent a day at home alone. He's like part of me! Last night, I held him on the bed and just dug my face into his gorgeous coat and somewhat fell asleep. OMG! It was sooooo comforting!
His coat is like velvet!...........and I love the sound of his soft breathing as I indulge in every moment I hold on.

My husband is rather jealous as he can't take Bogart to all the places I do. BUT! Now that he is also a team member for TDI........they even let Bogart go to the YMCA with him the other day. Bogart eventually wound up on the basketball court leaping, running and jumping at the ball.

Our mall walks are thrilling! Everyone wants to touch him and hug him. I do allow this periodically, especially with little kids. One kid latched on to him and created a scene! His parents couldn't separate him from Bogart and he wound up SHREIKING! Seriously! Security even had a peak at what was going on, and then they laughed. this poor kid wanted my dog!!

And he is SO FUNNY! He does the greatest things! I love the way he rolls in the snow and LEAPS through 9" of the white stuff. In the house, he always has a toy and brings things to us to play with. He has 2 toys he loves.....Sammy and Rufie. They are squeakers and he loves to have you squeak them around his back and down to his toes. He ever so gently grabs them from us and then runs off to squeak while prancing through the house and then back to us for more!

Anyway........I had to express my love.......I have never felt this way before!

Glad you shared your love for your doodle. I feel the same way about all of mine. I am counting the minutes left at work until I can go home and hug/kiss them. Oh, and my wife and son too.

........and you warned me long time ago.
I took Bogart to the gym tonight and had another irate lady! To make a loooooooong story short, she couldn't get anywhere with the staff or owner so she said she was going to call the police!
I welcomed that! Seriously! I wish they had come! I had all his papers etc. BRING IT ON!!

Are you able to take Bogart in malls and the Y? My Shelbe also passed his CGC and is certified with TDI. I would love to take him to a mall. How did you do that?

Bogart is my Service Dog as well. That's the only reason he can mall walk with me.
You would think they'd allow TDI dogs to do so as well! I wish you could.....

Yes, it does get easier, Jac. I don't react the same way anymore. I just have to note that there is a lot of ignorance out there about Service Dogs and then, sometimes people still don't want to accept it!

I talked to the owner the following night regarding the phone call and calling the police. She told me that the member simply wouldn't buy the RULES. So, if the woman did call the PD, probably told her she didn't stand a chance.
