hahaha...funny, Swiffer chasing!
I am posting something that was sent to me today. A family has two of our Doodles...Atticus is a Goldendoodle (90 lbs!) and Abigail is a Labradoodle...here is what the person wrote: Truly, these are the best dogs we have ever encountered. We even have a wild bird in our house (which is so tame she thinks she is human) and they are kind and gentle with her!!! She is sitting on the back of my hand as I type this email. Truly, we will never have another breed of dog after having these two in our lives. They have no “negatives”!!!! My mom is not an animal person and she was in our kitchen sitting at the kitchen table one day. She was very upset because she has been fighting cancer (smoked for over 50 years!) and the insurance company had switched on her. As the 3 of us talked, Atticus walked over to her and laid his head in her lap. She stopped talking and asked us what he was doing and we told her he was hugging her. So she put her hand on his back and he wrapped himself around her body and leaned into her with all his weight…she just sat and held him and cried. She said she never experienced anything like that in her life. Atticus’ heart is as big as his huge brown eyes. Attached is a video of Atticus playing with Sam. Sam is over 20 now and he is blind and deaf and full of tumors (we call him our tumor tubby) This is how they play every single day!!! You will notice that Abigail walks around with her "baby" in her mouth..she is the peace keeper (Chewbaca) gets so loud we can't talk on the phone or hear the television!!!! This huge 90 pound male dog is so tender with the old, blind, deaf dog that it touches my heart each and every time I watch them play. Too precious.... http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j118/ ... Thanks. It isn't a "funny" story, but the video is cute, I thought.
When we placed our pups with this (great) family, they were so worried about their old dog, Sam. They said that he never moved much, just was ready to die...and they worried that the pups, being big and young, might try to play with him and hurt him...but they wanted to try anyway...well, it wasn't long before they wrote to tell me that Sam was not only accepting the pups, he was now acting as if he had full sight and hearing! He was following the pups everywhere and playing like a young puppy himself. They said that it gave Sam new life. I was so proud of these pups...they just sense how much they can do with Sam...and they love him. |

When Emmy wants attention, she goes into the dirty clothes basket and gets either a sock, bra or pair of underwear. She then comes into the living room to show her "prize" at which point we make a big fuss and start on a "low speed chase" with her. If we try to take it from her mouth, she cleaverly turns her head and goes off in another direction. This continues for a minute or so and then she will eventually get caught and release the item. Too cute!
