Default Teaching Stay

I thought this was cute. Layla and I are working on stay. We are at the point where I can walk around the kitchen wall so she can't see me and stay there for a count of 5-10. This morning as we are doing it, on the 3rd time, I am on the other side, and I don't hear her tags on her collar moving so of course to me that means she's staying. Next thing I know here she comes around the counter on her as quiet as can be, on her tippy toes, to see what's going on over on the other side with me. Hahaa.

Anyone elses Doodles do the walking on their tippy toes, she does it all the time, I think its the cutest thing ever lol. Kinda reminds me of a cat haha, she does it a lot when she's playing a stalking game too.

that is so precious! Beck doesn't do that, he's a real noisy walker, and he has this funny thing he does when he wants attention he will just 'flop' himself down on the floor, he makes alot of noise when he does it and if you don't look at him he stands up and drops to the floor again, he will do it 4 or 5 times, if you don't look at him he finally gets up and goes off to do something else. I'm sure he does this because it's so loud that we would look at him when he did it so now he thinks loudly flopping on the floor gets him attention.

That is sooooooo cute! I can just imagine it! I thought you were going to say she went to sleep! But this is even better! What a sweetheart.

The only time my dogs are strikingly quiet is when, first they are barking and I quietly walk into the room and WHISPER "quiet" while holding one finger in the air...it is hilarious...no tails wag, no movement at all. They just look at me. It lasts as long as my stillness lasts...and it can happen even when someone is at the door. (I know because I sometimes don't want to answer but I want my dogs quiet...hahaha)

my Max (the black labradoodle in avitar) does the tip toe thing as i taught him to
"shhhh tip toe time" and it was the cutest thing as at one time i had to get extremely early for work.

Max at 3.5yrs old still does the TIP TOE when i say shhhhh and i am walking slowly on my tip toes
and i don't want to wake my fiance up.
