I remember when I first got Samson, my first posts to this site were mostly about keeping my house clean. LOL. I was freaking out, my nice clean house all dirty ALL the time with hair, and dirt trampled in. Everybody said the same thing, "you'll get over it". LOL.
Well last night, I let the boys out to play right before bed time. It's still muddy outside. Boys come in and there's now a nice path of mud from the back door through the kitchen to their beds. I sighed, picked up the mop and than set it back down and went to bed with mud on the floor. Only thought that came to mind "they were all right. I'm over it. Floor is staying dirty for the night." (Side note, floor is clean now. LOL) |

LOL! I can totally relate! I can't believe what I let slide these days.......mind you, I am not a slob....I just don't get upset about a little dirt, nose prints all over my windows, etc.
I constantly look for things that will help my cleaning however. LOVE my stick broom & my carpet shampooer........ Latest thing I had ordered was some Shamwow's. Was told that they are great to wipe down your dogs feet with and dry them of when they get out of the rain. Sure how they live up to my expectations! And I wish they would get here already! We are drowning in California! |

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE my stick vacuum!!! Got one because someone suggested it on here. We have mostly hardwood and tile. Only bedrooms are carpetted, and the stick vacuum cuts the clean the floor time in half.
And now I'm going to have to try the ShamWOW's. LOL. Hope you get yours in the mail soon! Here, you can buy the actual brand at Wal-Mart in our "As Seen on TV" aisle. LOL. |

I have to laugh...I had taken pictures for the other "mud" post, but I'll put them here...they were taken today and Judi is right, we are getting soaked! I have included my floor so that you won't feel so bad. (My favorite tool is a shop vac!)
![]() ![]() ![]() This is my floor... (I really laughed at the thought of wiping their feet as they come in! Imagine that! hahahahaha!!)

Wow Jac! Looks like YOU would benefit from the ShamWow mop they added!!! YIKES!!
I was wondering how everyone liked the stick broom.... Although... I think that Jacque would probably do better with the shop vac, with her "herd"! |

Today the rains continue...we have, literally, lakes in our yard! The dogs love it...they go out and dig for gophers or some other creatures...then, when they get tired, they lie down in the hole...which is now promptly filled with water...oh, joy. What is a sham wow mop? |

Wow, Jac. I dont feel so bad anymore. We had mud in the fall, but thankfully now it is frozen over and covered with snow. Love it. Do you have a mud room that the dogs enter the house from? You do now!
Is the parti doodle Emma-Gracie? Is she fading a bit or is that just the picture? |

Yep, my mud room is the bedroom, the garage and the hallway...the heavy footprint room is the living room. haha...good thing I love my doods! I plan to just pour water/cleaner over the floor and vacuum it up with my shop vac! LOL No sense in doing it until the rains stop...so I spot mop for now. Yes, that is Emma Gracie...no, she is not faded, just drenched in red mud water that turns the white part of her coat to a dingy reddish brown... |

WHOOHOO I cut down on my mud prints this morning. And my doods think I'm insane but oh well!
I got 8 of Issac's old socks (4 for each dood) and slipped them over each of their paws. Issac wears calf-high socks, so the socks covered about 1/4th of their legs too. Doods didn't even seem to mind that they looked completely dingy. I sent them outside, they did their business. I let them inside, took their socks off at the door, and HOORAY mud stayed on the socks, none on the feet...NO MUD PRINTS! On the plus side - it was really dark this morning, and I could easily spot were Samson was because of his white socks. LOL. Think I'm going to go check with Petco today to see if they have any water proof booties, its raining again, so the firmed up mud will turn to flithy water again, and so I think I need something water proof the next time! LOL |

Sounds like you have found a good solution for your house! Cool! (Love to see the picture of them in their socks!)
Yes, they do sell booties...there is actually a YouTube video about how to properly fit them...if you don't put them on correctly, they don't work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f33bo_M8bZY |
