Default first night with new doodle... DUN DUN DUN!

Well I get my very first Labradoodle yesterday for my birthday. And I ADORE him. Having had a puppy crying all the first night she arrived about 10 months ago we were on edge. We put his crate, waterbowl and fabourite toys with him and he fell asleep straight away! I only had to get up at 11 to make sure he didn't needa wee. He is so calm and he has already bonded with myself and the rest of the family. He is very confident and eats so well (once again compared to our frightened Borded Collie pup 10 months ago who refused to eat the first day or two!) but he is still nice and quiet.

Oh and...

I PROMISE i will upload a pic very soon!

OH he is adorable..I just want to snuggle him! Congratulations! These dogs have the best temperament, I have an elderly Australian Shepherd who has always been nervous like your border collie, but my chunky monkey labradoodle, Beck is so confident and calm- what a pleasure he is!

thanks guys! Yes I am very lucky! Don't worry though, i've had him picked out for my birthday since November when he was born, he's not a spontaneous (can't spell!) gift. I promise today I will upload a pic, my avatar was from his 4 weeks visit. He really is gorgeous. He wees, poos, sleeps and eats exactly when I want. In the crate: sleeps. Take him outside: poos or wees. I squeak his little elephant: he plays 'kill' ! He's adorable.

Sorry if there are any typos I did this on my iPod touch because my brother pretty much destroyed all our internet but wi-fi.

Lol I love puppies. SO cute and innocent and still learning and taking in their little world. Their days consist of eating, playing, peeing and eating. I love them. Though in a way I sorta want him to grow up and walk on a lead and go outside and play with the Border Collie.
But for the mean time I'll settle with cute

Now I did promise a photo today, but due to our internet connection... no go

I am so happy to hear you praise the puppy phase! It is such a lovely, wonderful time of learning, experiencing and humor...not to mention cuddles! Now is the time you are shaping him to be exactly what you want him to be...and I like it that you appreciate that this is his time to be a puppy.

Before you know it you will look back and be amazed at how quickly he grew!

The puppy breath goes away at 10 weeks...so enjoy! (I LOVE the scent of puppy breath!)

Looking forward to the pictures, when you are able ...

I will make sure I savour that puppy breath smell then!

I have uploaded some pictures of him and started another thread for them (Hope that's okay. Just thought they'd be easier to find)

Congratulations on the new puppy! What a cutie.

We also have a new pup but he is certainly not as laid back as yours sounds. He is VERY high energy, into everything.
