OHHH! The therapy & service! Bogart the Boy Scout!

I just wanted to tell you amount Bogart's ventures and the LOVE he brings to people.
I didn't take my camera yesterday.......and forgot that my Blackberry takes excellent pictures! But, we went to the Georgian Colonial Rehab Hospital. WHAT A JOY!
We met Jane. Jane was recovering from some serious problems. She is 91. She has no family so not many visitors but a "guardian" that lives with her when she's at home. She is about to go into assisted living when released.
There she sat. Her table in front of her waiting for dinner. She saw us walk by once, and then we came back and I asked if she'd like to visit with a dog!
Her eyes lit up and she was so HAPPY!!
She rubbed Bogart's face, ears and muzzle and just kept saying how soft and sweet he is. Then she held my hand through the entire visit and chatted. I sure hope I can get back there before she leaves on the 24th.

Then we have Kevin who is undergoing therapy at the local hospital. He has a major speech problem and some congenital disabilities. Kevin longs for Bogart every Wednesday! When he's around Bogart, he can SPEAK NORMALLY!
There were some chairs lined up with space between them enough to create an obstacle course for Bogart. He ran through them with Bogart............BOTH were smiling!
Then we have the little Downe Syndrome boy who had last his cat last Saturday. All he could do was cry until Bogart came along and literally licked his tears away to big smiles!

I am soooooooo enjoying this and have so many more stories! We are now logging our experiences, dates and times so Bogart can add more pins and badges to the already overloaded vest. bandana's etc!

Linda you describe these situations so well I just want to cry!

Good job Bogie! What an amazing doodle. I just don't know what to say, truly amazing Linda. You've left me lost for words, not many can do that.
