Default MUD!!!!

UGH!!!! Well here in great Oklahoma we've been above freezing all week long. Terrific right?? Well lets see:

8 to 10 inches of snow melting

Grass is dead, so only dirt on ground

Cloudy weather, so no sun peaking through to dry up some of that melted snow.

And what does that equal?!?!?!? TWO ABSOLUTELY FILTHY DOODLES! And it's not even clumping mud yet, it's more like extremely filthy water that eventually (when transported by said filthy doodles into the house) dries into filthy mud. And my wonderfully talented doodles decide that each time they go outside, they either will 1) slip and fall into the mud, thus getting their whole body muddy or 2) paw at each other and get each other all muddy.

COME ON summer!

Oh, my gosh! Do I ever relate to this!! We have not had snow, but in our area of California it rains all winter long...and where our dogs play, they trample any grass so...mud! We have it EVERYWHERE! We have so much of it that I could plant potatoes in my house! Really...what are you going to do? You HAVE to let them outside to play...and you HAVE to let them come back inside! My dogs have those little mud-balls hanging all over their bellies...yes, I give them baths but then they go outside again! It is a never ending mess!
Pray for springtime!

Makes me love the Canadian snow. Yes they bring it in and it melts so my slippers get wet, but its clean(ish) snow.

We have about 18" of snow here in NE Ohio and the Oz-man just loves to play in it. The problem comes in when he comes in!!! We have to make sure our slippers are right beside the rug because if we walk anywhere with just our socks.....ugh! Found another puddle. Although, wearing white socks aren't a good idea on a dry day!!! Ozzie plays outside a lot and I would have to mop every 2 hours to keep the floors clean. Slippers are definitely the only way to go. We will get the mud as the snow melts so I'm not in a big hurry for any thaw! Keep your mop handy and hang in there!

LOL I'll try to take a pic, especially of Henry, since he's all white.

I LOVED when the snow was on the ground. NO MESH. Little bit of a wet floor, but hey, a fan going dried that up really quick.

Jac same here, the snow killed most the grass, the dogs trampled the rest. My poor back yard is one huge mud pit. I seriously started to think that maybe I should just start taking them out on leash in the front yard and letting them go potty. But than they wouldn't get any exercrise, and that's not right either.

And I'm waiting on Summer, our spring just RAINS! So I better get used to it, because it won't stop until June/July.

Okay, you want pictures?

Take a look at the mud between the toes of our visiting stud! And this is on a GOOD day!

Now, imagine that mud being played in, rolled in and tracked in by quite a few doggies!

Now, see? They also like to lie down in the mud!
