Default Charlie and Rose Update

I realize its been a while since we brought Rose home but we could not be happier with our two labradoodles (okay, one labradoodle and one poodle/retriever mix)! Rose is getting fairly large and now is taller and heavier than Charlie and she is only 5 months old! Charlie can still out run her, though. So, without further ado, here are some pictures from our last walk of the old year!

Okay, they aren't technically "walking" in this picture. It was all I could do to keep them in one spot and laying down, at least for Charlie, seemed to be the only way to do that. Can you see the size difference, though? Charlie is 8 months old and probably won't get much bigger (he's a mini) but Rose is another story altogether!

Paying attention...finally. I didn't even have to bribe them with a treat!

Welcome back! It is great to see how Rose and Charlie are growing! They are both so adorable...and obviously very different! LOL
I think that Rose is probably a first generation...could be a Labradoodle, but I am having trouble seeing how her ears hang...she is so cute and I can see she is a wiggler! LOL
In the first picture her ears don't look either Poodly or Labby, almost Terrier-like...but in the second they are looking like they could be Labby...either way, she is lovely! Charlie is a cutie pie too...looks like they have a great bond.
Hmmm, come to think of it, the activity level of Rose could be terrier traits...could she be a terrier/retreiver cross?
Her feet don't look too large, so maybe she will stop growing soon...not that it matters, I love big dogs!
I know of many large dog with small dog families and the dogs seem to know how to play to get their best advantage...looks like your two are very, very happy!
So glad you shared the pictures!

Thanks! They really are great pups and we really enjoy them (even when they dig holes in the lawn!).

After I read your comment, I managed to pin her down and took a good look at her ear. It is a triangle but a bit longer than a typical lab's ear.

We never were really certain what breeds the mother was descended from. We were told a retriever mix of some sort so its entirely likely that Rose has terrier in her. I did notice that Rose has webbing between her toes. They were pretty sure that the father was a standard poodle as he was found with the mother and puppies.

I have to say she is not as hyper as Charlie not sure if I could handle that! Very much a lover though.
