Bogart is now a certified THERAPY DOG!!!

HE DID IT!!!!!!
Nothing left but the papers being mailed in!! Walt also went through the program, so we are both now handlers for him for therapy!!

OMGOSH! I had a real concern in one patients room. This woman was lying in her bed and she had 2 parakeets in a cage near her. Bogart was so interested in the birds that I swear, I thought he'd fail!!
Even Pelee, the guides dog, was a bit distracted. The important things was that I was able to control Bogart and get him away from the cage to see the patient!

WE ARE DONE!! I am soooooo EXCITED! Now Bogart has TWO jobs!

Fabulous Linda!!! Congratulations to you all! It takes a ton of work to get to certification...you have a great dog, no doubt, but your hand in this...in his training...brought him to this point. Good job!

I am a proud mama! Of course, it was a tad easier as Bogart was already trained for Service, yet I went through a few sweats!
The guide told me that she just, the day before, had to flunk a German Shepherd who was the sweetest little thing! She told me this as we entered the Convalescent home!

Nice timing!

If these dogs do the slightest thing wrong...she cannot sign those papers! This, of course, is a good thing, but also sad. The owner of the Shep had no control and the dog was always excited and pulling and then jumping on people. Maybe next year for him?
