I was so happy this morning - we were running EARLY (big deal for us!) - everybody was doing such a good job!! THAN I went to take out the garbage and warm up the car - guess I didn't shut that dang screen door all the way because next thing I know I see some white animal thing dash down the street. OF course this CAN NOT be my wonderfully good boy Henry?!?!?!
HEY LOOK it is Henry - I run inside, get the leash and the first bag of treats I can get my hands on. OH did I mention I'm in a business suit and 3 inch heels? Henry thought this was a totally fun activity and that I should play with him. He started doing the Doodle 800 and was totally uninterested in the treats. I'm trying to quietly tell him to come here. The people who live in the house are elderly and still asleep. FINALLY I squat down (again in a business suit and heels) and he comes up to me. Grab his collar, click on the leash and he looks up at me like "come on Mom we were just starting to have fun". I couldn't help but laugh - my own fault not making sure the door was shut all the way - and what a sight to see, a woman in a suit trying desperately to get her dog to come home at 6:45 A.M. LOL. Now all I have to do is clean the mud off my shoes and pant legs and I'm good to go. |

Henry, Henry, Henry!!! You ornery fellow! I have had more than several similar episodes with the Oz-man! They find a teeny little gap and whoosh.....off they go and the games begin! Ozzie likes to go over for a little visit with Buck, the neighbors dog. We've been training with a shock collar (I wish they would call it something else. That just sounds so mean!) He usually responds very well with just the Tone Alert but when he gets it in his huge head to go play...nothing will stop him. I'm just glad my neighbors aren't out there filming me because I don't always look presentable early in the morning (or late in the evening....OR the middle of the afternoon. You get the picture!

WELL again this morning Henry got out. Luckily he only went across the street. Really windy morning and the wind blew open the screen door.
Across the street neighbor has a Shi-zu (sp?) and a really CLEAN all glass screen door. Henry got one look at the little guy across the street and bolted - full speed SMASHING INTO THE GLASS SCREEN DOOR!!!! Than just sat in front of the neighbors door a little dazed. Luckily neighbor got a big kick out of it, and was more worried about whether Henry was okay than about anything else. OH and the little dog just sat at the other side of the door looking at Henry like man you're stupid. Neighbor said birds fly into his door all the time. |

Henry! Your social calendar is starting to get in your mama's way! You need to ask permission to run to the neighbors and slam into their door! Silly boy. (So glad he wasn't hurt!)
