So McGee and I have been getting out and walking the neighborhood and over at the park. I like the part where 30-40 minutes of walk equals tired puppy! Finally, an outlet for energy!
And he's doing surprisingly good with a loose leash, except for when we pass somebody (pet me! pet me!), or when something gets in his nose (something's gotta give, his neck or my shoulder). He also got what I consider a huge compliment yesterday. There's a couple that walks the park that we see daily and she gets down and just pets and loves all over him. Well, you get down that close to a puppy and you're gonna get some teeth and yesterday she says (paraphrasing) 'I can't get over how soft he is with his mouth! Usually puppies get you with their teeth, and he uses his mouth but he doesn't bite hard at all!' We've done a lot of work on bite inhibition and McGee got a big treat when we got home for earning that compliment.
