Default Beck has learned how to tease..

Beck is just the sweetest boy, but as a teenager he has mastered the art of teasing our poor old Australian Shepherd relentlessly. When she has to go outside to potty, he blocks her access to the doggie door, he just thinks its more fun for her to run in circles doing the pee-pee dance while he stands half in and half out of the doggy door so she can't possibly get through. Then, when she falls asleep, he goes to their toy box and picks up toys one at a time and takes them to where she is resting and drops the toys on her head one at a time until she wakes up really pissed and starts chasing him around barking at him!

hahahaha! I have to laugh! Just don't let him pull a Tia and tackle because when she got big enough we had a hard to break problem! I can't help but laugh at the toy drop game!!!

What a little pest. Too funny! Has he usurped the Queen as top dog?

Kira likes to think she is still queen, but if Beck wants to he can just push her out of the way and do whatever he wants. For the most part he lets her operate under the illusion that she is in charge, when he plays too rough Kira will get right up in his face and bark at him, so he will roll over on his back and act all submissive -UNTIL she forgives him and starts playing with him again, then he's in charge again. If she has a toy or a treat, he will act all excited and keep running back to where she is and bark and then run outside and back in again over and over until she gets up and follows him, when she does he hightails it back to where she was and steals her toy/treat.

I remember when you were considering a Doodle, Lynne...you wanted a dog that would not challenge Kira because she was the pack leader and you didn't want any trouble!

It sounds like he mounted a playfull coup and Kira didnt see it coming until it was too late. Her didn't take her on head on, but used his superior intellect and lovable playfullness to gain his advatage. Good job Beck.

LOL it reminds me of my three year old trying to push the rules as far as she can with a big playful grin on her face. It must be hilarious to watch him dump toys on the other dogs head waiting for him to play. I can only imagine what is going through Becks head. He must have quiet a sense of humor
