So it's been a while....

I think it may be over a year since I last posted.... our Snickers is now 2 1/2 years old, and settling own some, but still quite a rascal. There was quite a bit of deliberation before we got Snickers (never had a dog before, wasn't sure about the commitment, etc. etc.) ... if you can believe it, we added to our canine family last March with a rescue - this time a Shih Tzu/poodle mix - whose was also named Snickers! We couldn't resist him! So, we brought him home and named him "Junior".

While our big Snickers has grown to almost 45 lbs, the little one is steady at about 12 pounds. We were told he was three years old when we got him, but the vet said he wasn't more than two. So, now we have Snickers and "Junior" - they are hysterical together - I have to tell you (as many of you know), there is no better entertainment than the two dogs romping around together - wrestling, growling, carrying on - it is great. I've included a couple of pics for fun. They currently are trimmed fairly "short" due to a massive hair cut in August (pretty bad matting!) - they are often mistaken for mother/son....

Wow! They really do look like Mother and son...

I love both their coloring...kind of like coffee latte! Both have very sweet faces! Thanks for the update!

They're actually both boys ... but somehow we always get the "mother/son," or "mother/puppy" comment!

I'm also in South Windsor ... maybe the dogs can meet up sometime!

Hi Ann, glad to have you back!

Snickers is GORGEOUS! Love his coat coloring! What a handsome boy he is...and JUNIOR! Soooo adorable! I love the name and the story behind it!

I am so happy that you are now enjoying two dogs that get to romp and play together, I'll bet that Snickers is very happy!

Wouldn't that be great if you and Kathie (and Raleigh) could meet for a mini doodle romp?

snickers and Junior are absolutely Stunning, gorgegous and sounds soooooooooooo funny and cute playing together!!
Can't wait to hear some stories hahhaaaaaaaa along with seeing MORE Pics!!

we have said IF and when we get a 3rd dog it will be a small poodle or small poodle cross

seriously, I LOVE the haircuts how you had them both trimmed down.......beautiful!!!
and yes matting, itsn't it fun trying to keep up then one day you got that's it! off to the groomers

Maybe we can meet at the Bark Park...and Sheamus too...(Liz...she's from Windsor!) That would be awesome!
