How is Maggie? It's been too long and I always think the worse.

Sorry I haven't had any time to update - She's home and doing ok. She'll be on the Prescription Diet I/D for life though - something seriously wrecked her stomach (I'm convinced it was the dog food) and she can't handle *any* other foods or she'll wind up vomiting. We tried weaning her off it once and it was a nightmare. I fed her a tiny baby carrot the other night and she puked it up mostly undigested a few hours later.

Unless other owners have come forward as I have, I doubt we'll ever link it back to the food.

Oh, I am so sorry!
I am glad that she is feeling better, but so sorry that you have to watch her diet so closely now. That is NOT fun.
I think you are right...but it is getting enough people together who actually recognize the connection that will be tough...
So sorry.

I'm glad Maggie is hope with you and has an avenue to keep her healthy.

SO glad to hear she's home and well!!
I'm happy you found a food that will work. I know.........whenever we hear the words "for life" it gets scary.
Did they actually conclude via x-rays etc that her stomach is that messed up? There is a test, I can't recall right now, that they did on Bogart after he drank the bleach and murphy's oil soap mixture.
They concluded that his levels of "whatever" had gone down. yet, we still wonder how messed up he really is inside too. He goes through these times of vomiting and not holding things down. I always am concerned it's a messed up tummy from when he was 5 months old.
After our last incident, we considered changing his diet to a sensitive tummy food too.
Hugs from all of us here and know I understand........been there. Very frightening!!

Kristen,
I"m thinking of you, and Maggie. If you have time (I know, very funny) if you post your problem on the Doodle Rescue Collective Forum, they have a food forum, and perhaps you can help lots of other doodles and owners and educate all.
