well, the time has come to take our little baby-dog out on her first 'big dog' walk!
yes, our hearts were in our mouths, but we're so lucky that Scumpy has bonded well with Fudgey and us that we were confident that she'd come back to us (nothing at all to do with the sausages we took with us! She's also had 'homework' from her puppy class this week - meet at least 20 strange dogs, and go to as many different places as possible. We managed 28 new dogs, and the airport, the train station, a car boot sale (don't know if you have those in the US?), both of our places of work, a busy high street (main street), and strangers houses. Oh yes - she's even had a cuddle with a lady in a wheelchair and a cuddle from a policeman! I wonder what we'll get given to do for this week? Hope you like the pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

How absolutely ADORABLE!!
Is it true that in the UK most dogs are off leash? Our former neighbors who now live in England have commented on this. They say dogs are all well behaved and are pretty much allowed everywhere!

But on the whole - most dogs are allowed off leash whilst walking in parks, open areas, etc. Obviously we still have to be aware of other animals - there are a lot of new foals around where I live, and they're very nosey! One of the great pleasures of owning a dog in the UK is to allow them off leash and see them enjoying themselves, bouncing around, good sniffs, and meeting their doggy friends

Ooooohhh...what a little sweetheart Scrumpy is!!! YYour pics are wonderful Mia, and I hope you post a lot more as she continues to grow...sounds like she's getting quite socialized! I'm glad Fudgey has bonded so well with the little one!
Thanks for sharing your outing with us!
