I decided to post this separately from the other really alarming story as that one still freaks me out!
Yesterday, my husband took Bogart to the dog park. He said things were going well when suddenly, Bogart strolled over to this woman wearing a long coat to her ankles and proceeded to lift his leg and pee on her!! My husband yelled, "BOGART,NO!". The woman was oblivious to anything going on. So what does hubby do? He puts Bogart on his leash and takes him home! He didn't have the intestinal fortitude to tell her. Another woman saw this happened and he knew it, so he said to the other woman, "I don't want to tell her, so if you do, go ahead, but I'm out of here!" I guess the woman started laughing............. I tried to think of what I would've done in that situation. Knowing me, I would've said something and taken the heat. How embarrassing!

OMG! I was about to respond to your first post when I saw this one!!!!
Although I don't understand the mechanics of a reverse sneeze, my vet has told me that the best thing to do is just what you did - keep your dog calm until it passes. I don't think Tyke has ever had one, but both of my Eskies had them fairly often. Sometimes they were mild ones, but some of them could look pretty violent and scary! I don't remember either of them seeming to lose control of their back legs, but I did occasionally think they might choke to death! Perhaps Bogart just had a particularly bad episode, but I don't think I'd be too alarmed unless he has several bad ones like that, or if the weakness in his legs seems to last after the reverse sneezing ends. As for your second problem, I imagine the real problem belongs to the lady in the coat!!! Bogart must have smelled something on her or the coat that made him feel the urge to mark his territory!! Maybe she has a doggie at home that had already "marked" that coat, or perhaps she needed a nice hot bath herself!!! (Sorry, I just couldn't help myself there!!!

hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa OH LINDA , sorry but i did giggle here and you hubby he was a smart man !! hahhaaaaaa
Bogie had to smell something on her coat that made him mark his territory and Bogie as much as you love him and he's so sweet adn well trained well it boils down to: he's a dog doing instinctual and natural canine tendencies, he's also maturing too. hahhaaaaaaaaaaaaa sorry but your hubby doing the Beat FEET hahaaaaa too funny and quite wise CAN YOU imagine trying to explain what Bogie did to a complete stranger PS one of my dogs years ago did this to my friend in my house, to this day we have tears in our eyes from laughter AND Cliffy who's max, peanut's beau's and gracie's dad.....WELL he did the same thing to DAVE last year the breeder and I still laugh soooooooooooooooo hard hahhaaaaaaaaaaa (dave is asking me why i am laughing right now)

OMG, I would have been so embarrassed!! I can relate to your husband's wanting to disappear unnoticed. I'm not sure what I would have done if it had happened to me. Bogie, you're keeping your mom and dad on their toes! They're going to watch you like a hawk now at the dog park.
