Hahahahaha! We had the same idea yesterday. We knew the dog park was going to be a muddy mess (red clay mud, too) but we planned on giving Semi a bath so we figured, "what the heck!"

She was plastered by the time we left. She had a blast. It took us over an hour to bathe her, though. Twenty minutes just to let the water run all over her before we could even begin the shampooing process.

Love those Doodles!

we've developed an emergency bag ( left over from our crazy lab) - that we used to always keep in the car during the spring and fall - starts with 2 dollar store shower curtains - an old sweatshirt to put on cold wet muddy dog (contains SOME of the shaking) - an old blanket 'cause they hate lying on the shower curtain - and a gallon of water to attempt to get a bit of the mud off their feet - worked pretty well on the practically hairless lab - I have my doubts about it working on Hamish's fuzz ball self - but it's packed in an old beach bag ( I put it there AFTER I read your post Linda ) so thanks for the Perfect descriptions and visual images - I'm in your debt!!!
