Default Snow Storm? What Snow Storm? PICS

Saturday we got a reminder that winter wasn't done yet. We had plans to go the 2nd annual "Mardi Gras "Album" Party" Saturday night at a good friends house about a 2 hours away. Everybody (5-6 couples) shows up with beads and 5 albums of their choice. We spin the wax, enjoy libations and have a good time. After shoveling for the third time on Saturday afternoon shortly before leaving we decided that making the trip in that kind if weather was a little foolish. So we stayed home.

And Sunday around noon we decided that heading to the dog park might be a good idea. The snow provided beautiful scenery in the dog park.

The park.

That is Marley way ahead doing his usually scouting ahead routine.

Natural Tunnels.

Favorite scenery shots.

The gang..Don't forget the photographer. He never gets in any pics.
Temps in the teens but it did not dampen our spirits.

The dogs.

Marley speeding back from a scouting expedition. This week he ran pretty far ahead, but always returned after a whitsle or a yell. Good boy Marley!!!

Marley's new poodle friend Rex. Just a year old but he was great. Ran with Marley alot.

A huge 160 acre park. We trudged though the snow for well over an hour, walking around the perimeter of the park. We literally walk as far as you see here.

Marley ran virtually all that time. Very few monemts of standing still.

Poor Jewel rarely interacted with Marley and Huey. They were running constantly and the big newfie, tried as she did, just felt the breeze as they sped by.

Not sure if Marley is imitating a dive bomber or just getting a different perspective.

Marley watched me fill up the gas tank, and then it was back home, where he displayed an unexpected burst of energy before he settle into a good long nap.

Those are great pictures! I miss the snow, and it looks like it is fun for the dogs too. I'm dying to add a Newfie to my pack one day .

I wish we had another shot at some snow around here. It has been a very mild winter, rather dry. Your dogs look so happy to be running in the park, wonderful pictures and the scenery is like a winter-wonderland. Just beautiful!!

That is one fantastic dog park you have there Marley.
Love the photos! I've forgotten how beautiful snow can be sometimes!
I don't miss shoveling the stuff though!

Great job once again Greg!

I just woke up to 2-3" of snow myself, but I have to go to work, so the kids will have to settle for a run in the yard!

Now THAT is a dog park!! Our new dog park isn't what it should be. My husband brought Bogart home on Friday (before the snow fell) from the park. He was so muddy and poopy that he had to be thrown in the tub asap!
We're not going back..........BUMMER!!

Great photography, Greg! Made me SMILE!

The more the merrier Kim. You and Ziggy are more than welcome. We go quite a bit. Very often meeting up with Madcity Mike and his two Doods. Always a good time. Let me know if ya want to take a road trip and we can plan a Romp!!

We are in Madison, and this park is just 5 minutes from our house in Verona. We have two near by. Madison is a very dog friendly community.

That is one amazing dog park! Great photos. Thanks. You inspired me to remember to take some photos during a hike today, also in the snow! What a gorgeous place.
