Hey all! I know we've been scarce since Christmas.. things have been a bit crazy here and I've been super busy. Hagrid started the big hair change and I decided to bite the bullet and clip all his hair off. First I tried to shave him with my hubby's hair shaver, but it wouldn't go through is massive amount of soft hair.. eventually I just went at it with the scissors and a comb! I was terrified that he would look like I'd attacked him with a week whacker, but he looks really good! I attribute it totally to the fact that he's pretty curly... the curls hide all the unevenness
A few days before the haircut.... ![]() ![]() And just after his haircut :P ![]()

Thanks everyone
It actually took a really long time... about 4 hours (with breaks).. but I was really slow. After I got the hang of it it went a lot faster

Meredith, you did a really great job with Hagrid's haircut. Very Handsome Boy!
I know what you mean about the curly coat, it definitely hides any mistakes. Rusty's coat is a straighter fleece coat and mistakes are very obvious I love when you trim off the fur how skinny they look Hagrid look very happy with his haircut too!

For a first timer you did great! He looks so handsome!
I cut Annie's hair with scissors and it is work. She has the thick fleece coat. I trim her at least every two weeks to keep a handle on it. That way it doesn't seem to take so long. I have purchased a pair of sheers but am afraid to try them.
