Happy and sad again!

Oh crap....here come the tears!! Comet went to his forever home today to a great family from Maryland! We met at the dog park in PA, and ended up getting 4 thumbs up from Mom, Dad and the 2 young boys....plus 2 paws up from their other doodle Chedder. What sold the deal was when the older boy was laying on the picnic table and Comet jumped up and slathered his face with kisses. I could feel the tears starting then. They had lost their 13 yo lab/husky mix on the same day that I rescued Comet from the shelter. The Lord had plans for little Comet. He has found the forever home he so deserves. I am so going to miss my little back warmer!

Farewell my little Comet.....may you have a wonderful life with the perfect family! Jonah, Miko Rumor and myself will miss you very much. You stole a big piece of my heart my little comedian!!

How are things with your newest (i.e. Bogie's twin - I cannot even remember his name)? Are all doodles getting along?

Hugs to you, Gene. Snuggle up with the kids and be proud of Comet. He's safe, happy and loved because you were so caring. You are the greatest.

Scooby is under the impression that dominance humping is the way to work himself into the pack.....silly boy....that'll get you.......NOWHERE!! Jonah is being patient right now (he just sits down and rolls his eyes), how long will he be patient?? Anyone's guess!

Oh yeah, Scooby "snuck" into the bed. He was there when I woke up in the middle of the night! How, pray tell, does a 70# doodle sneak anywhere??

Gene - that's a VERY lucky family to have one of your fosters....Comet's had such a lot of love from you and the gang, it's a brilliant start to his new life. I'm so sorry that you miss him so much

, but you won't be stuck for something to fill in the time with the others around

It must be a sweet and sour feeling,i know i would be sad but also happy that a doodle has found a new home.

Oh, I'm just a sap! This has me crying too. Sad for you that Comet has moved on but also so happy that Comet seems to have been found by his perfect forever family. All will be well.
