Ok you all are partially to blame for this one. With all of this talk of destuffing toys and all. Put that with Tia needing exercise and I came up with a plan to have one tired doodle!
It started that I decided to take the fuzz out of the already torn toys so my DH would not have a room full of fluff (they don't play in my room). I happened to find a squeaker and Tia followed me up the two sets of stairs wanting that squeaker. Well I hid it and Tia was relentless in her search. Finally she decided it had suddenly gone away and went down to my DH's den to play with Buddy. So I squeaked the squeaker again and sure enough Tia ran up the stairs in a flash. She was not buying that I did not have that wonderful tidbit. She went in my bathroom and checked out the dreaded tub, and looked behind the door. Then she starts pushing my arm up and trying to get behind my back. Finally she gives up and goes all the way back down the stairs. This went on a couple of more times and I decided I was mean and got a toy of hers I had hidden. When she came up again I gave it to her (not realizing there was no squeaker in it). She pushed and pushed and bit and bit and no squeak! "Hmmmmm what is this" she says to me with a dirty look. I said "what? Go show daddy" after a bit of encouragement she went down the stairs again. Mean me, I squeaked the squeaker again........Not this time! The game is over for tonight! She knows something is going on but can't prove it so for now she still loves momma! I don't think I will fool her again though. Maybe if she gets a treat when I decide to do it again, I can exercise her and not kill my knees! |

I love it!! I used to tease my Cocker, Peche. I'd be in bed, or on the couch, reach over my head and knock on the wall! He would run to the door at least 6 times to see who was there. The 7th time he would stare at me as if to say...."Come on....I'm not THAT blonde!!" I'd wait 10 minutes and do it again......sure enough.....off to the door barking! We humans can be soooooooo cruel some times......

ohhh i see we all have a weeeee bit of a kiddish devil lurking inside us I too have had fun "exercising" my doodles with squeakers in past....i would finish defuzzing job and take out or Peanut hands me the squeaker i would wash it off then put it in my mouth, cupping my hands around it and walk around house squeaking , Max and Peanut would go nuts looking for it then try to lick me to death trying to get it. in this house when i teasinging say "HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO?!" it sets them off barking and running to the door kathie and Gene.........try having SURROUND SOUND on during a movie and someone knocks on a door OR honks the horn we have to hit pause while Max and Peanut Bark to alert us

hahaha - I love the surround sound event!!! - Hamish looks around the room and does the head tilt thing - the first time - if it happens again he goes running for the door!! - I really want to try the knocking on the wall game - that should drive him nuts!!!
