Default Kirby is not a good patient

Poor Kirby cut the side of his paw last night (I suspect on the ice in our yard). We wrapped it up and put him on leash restriction for the evening. Luckily it stopped bleeding totally overnight (I did not want to have to crate him today!). We wrapped it up again tonight just to be safe (he clearly seems fine - no blood, no pain). Kirby is not happy with the wrap. He finally started walking more normal (he had been limping all around once we put the wrap on him). I guess I should feel "lucky" that Dex is normally the injured one...he deals with it much better.

Kirby, honey, if you lift your widdle paw up a little higher and let out a big sigh and a little cry, I bet you can get a cookie out of it.

Poor baby.

Sorry to hear you cut your foot Kirby

I'd wash it with warm soapy water am and pm and put a little antibiotic cream on it to make sure
he doesnt get an infection, especially since you are not sure what he cut it on - just a worry mom's opinion

the bandage did not make it. Kirby was outside to potty and somehow he comes back in w/o a bandage (I think he ripped it off). Luckily no blood. I will clean it out tonight - thanks for the reminder Mary. I totally meant to do that last night.

Oh Kirby, I bet that stung!! Make the most of it now it's happened, mums are usually more generous with the treats when you're hurt or poorly

Hope you heal fast Kirby!!

All my guys are limping in the yard tonight! With the temps at below zero and over a foot of snow....our potty trips are fast ones! Comet is the most sensitive to the cold on his feet, and Rumor does his Karate kid imitation!
