Bogart's having a FUN DAY!....COOOOOOOLD!!

SO, as we who are so lucky to reside in the freezing cold parts of the world and of, course, are just THRILLED , and absolutely love that our temperatures, without a windchill.. will be in the -3 to -20 below in some areas , I made an executive decision to spend the $25 and take Bogart to Play at the Pet Ritz today. WHEW! That was a mouthful!

I have faithfully dressed myself up in quadruple layers all along and have taken Bogart for his run each and every single day anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour.
(What a GOOD MOM!! )
BUT NOT TODAY or tomorrow! Don't know what I'll do tomorrow.

The other day, we found some dogs at the field for him to play with. It was a very cold day with windchills around 15. He had a lot of fun!
But, when he came home, he was literally a snowball! It waso funny!
The only thing not covered were his booted feet!
Anyway, the thawing out in the house would've created a flood, so we had to stick him in the tub to THAW!!
I finally told my husband to use some warm water on his legs instead of trying to BRUSH it out..

I'm sure Bogart is enjoying himself indoors today. For me, I plan on going to the gym before I pick him up.

Who else is going through this??? BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

We're not too bad today. It's bright and sunny but in the teens. On Thursday, I think the high will be 3. The doodles will get a condensed walk and will definitely be wearing boots.

The boots keep the worst of the ice from their feet but if they go out without, they get the tub wash too. I found the quickest solution is the hose their legs with warm water to melt down all the snow balls.

Wayne's face is always caked in snow because he digs in the yard trying to find his beloved tennis balls!

Yep.....overcast, and very cold, with snow coming in on Thursday...then very low temps for Friday!! Florida looks better and better as next Tuesday approaches!!!

I had thought of driving down to see my son in Tampa. Sure would be a great time to go, but what storm might we get caught in before we reach WARMTH!!

I'm flying out next Tuesday for a week to visit my MIL...can't wait to get out of this cold!!!!

Ahhhhh, we always want what we don't have--I actually envy you!!!! Most of California is experiencing record highs as the drought marches on. I was longing for snow when we went to the lake over the holidays but after one good Chrismas eve snowfall--nothing . . . We did get some -10 temps at night and goofy Dakota is perfectly happy laying out on the deck in 12 degrees . . . silly guy! Well, I wish changes for both of us--warm, sunny days for you and grey, rainy days for California!!!

Ahhhhh, we always want what we don't have--I actually envy you!!!!

Remind me I said this when it is winter here......Poor doods are melting...today it was already 34C at 9am (which works out to be around 95F)
I was up at 6:30 taking them for a walk before the real heat sets in (forecast is for 39C which is over 100F).
We're in the same situation of not being able to properly exercise them
We have a cooler change coming through today so hopefully can take them out for a big run late today.

We'll take some of your coolness and send you some of our heat! Yes, I want some cool grey rainy days too!

I'm glad that Sadie spends her day getting tired out while playing at day care. This week it's going to be too dangerous to be outside for walks.

Vanessa...you're so right!!!! We want what we don't have. But this is RIDICULOUS!!!!
Yet, I guess the extreme heat in Australia and CA is just as ridiculous..............oh well.

Yeah all your cold weather is coming to us later this week - can't you keep it?? haha...I'd love some snow, but I'd prefer to not have the 15 degree weather

The doodles have been odd - I think they totally wore themselves out over the weekend. They still have a weekend hangover today!

Linda - I'm feeling your pain and glad someone else uses our technique of running the dog straight up to the tub and dipping his legs in a bucket of warm water to melt the snow - I still like Gene's idea about the doggie hot tub!!! - It's freezing out, Hamish keeps finding bunny popsicles under the deck and running around the back yard like he's master of the Universe - we have no Doggie Play date sight close here - I've really got to find this boy more friends!!!

Just get him a doodle brother or sister! Works like a charm and it's double the fun!

I'm still in the stage of parenthood where I remember the pain!! - I'm sure as my memory fades I'll be lulled into a state of acquiescence and we'll end up with another!! = but for now I'll run around in the frozen tundra and act like a mad woman to entertain my dog!!!
