NO FURNITURE RULE--> UNDER CONSTRUCTION wPICS

OKAY........since OCT 7th, 2006 when we got MAX I enforced a NO FURNITURE RULE in my house....FEB 9th, 2007 PEANUT arrives
STILL NO FURNITURE RULE IN EFFECT

present Day....Dec 3oth 2008 Still a NO FURNITURE RULE BUT
1. Leslie BUSTED me with pics of Dexter on my leather chair
2.this summer when i fell asleep on the couch With DEXTER lying next to me, DAVE took a pic ....that one doesn't count, i was zzzzzzzz'ing
3. THEN KATHIE busts me with the PIC Of MOLLY and RALEIGH on my leather couches


THEN as of Dec 28th approx 8pmish after a lovely last night walk with doodles out back
we come inside and well I don't know but something happened to me ..........I pulled up the 4ft long ottoman
making my couch NOW a L shape , threw on 2 fuzzy throw blankets and INVITED MAX and PEANUT UP

IS this how it starts?????? what's wrong with me as for 2.5yrs i've been so strict and kept to my word!!!!
(except with visiting doodles)

sooooooo my NO FURNITURE RULE IS UNDER Construction and being reconsidered........OH BTW Doodles will ONLY come up via INVITATION
and need at least 3 invites before attempting the following



NOTE: my boots are on the small OTTOMAN Max isnt' sure what to make of this yet
Peanut Made sure MR MOO MOO was up there too

Max is quite COZY but it appears Peanut really wants to be on the WHOLE COUCH rather than share an ottoman w/Max

OMG I wouldn't believe it w/o photos They look pretty comfy up there - I think Dexter told them about the joy of sofas when he visited.

Wow Annmarie the sad doodle eyes finally got to you huh??? Maya and Sadie have their own couch (the love seat). It is a known fact that you sit there on your own risk. You may have a 35 lb dog and a 55 lb dog on top of you if you sit too long.

Maya and Sadie say good job Max and Peanut for convincing your Mom that the couch is the rightful place for a dood to lounge. The floor and dog beds are no place for any self respecting dood to lounge and sleep!!!!!

Tia and Buddy are saying " way to go guys"!! I am just way too soft to enforce that law. Of course we have second hand OLD furniture!! I don't know what I would do if we had nice couches! Oh well new is a LONG way away!!!

OKIE DOKIE NOW....I SHOULD CLARIFY: they are Allowed up ONLY on the OTTOMAN IF and when I bring it over to couch , cover it with blankets
and THEN invite them.

GUESS WHAT? 4ft long Ottoman been sitting there all set up now for 3 days hahaaaaaaaaa BUT neither doodle goes on it
except at night when we say "OKAY"

SO i still have a NO COUCH rule in effect ...just bent the rules a tad , besides Ottoman is hardly used and 4yrs old now

We have a no furniture rule too, but I know for a fact that if they are inside while I'm out, Lucee makes herself at home on our sofa!!
Funny thing is she only does it when we are not at home
Peanut's coat is amazing! You can hardly see Max lurking behind her and Mr Moo Moo!

You are a failure Annmarie, get used to the idea. I am a failure too.

Throughout the 9 years we owned our standard poodles there was an enforced no furniture rule. So far the lounges are off limits to the doodles but they get up on our bed at night while we watch TV and then they are sent to their own beds at sleep time. We wake in the morning with Hugo on the end of our bed and Spud in between us with his head up near the pillows. For a while they were sneaking back in and climbing very quietly onto the bed after we went to sleep. They were regularly being evicted during the night. They have now got the hang of the fact that they are not welcome before daybreak. As that is happening around 4.30 am at the moment they are in bed with us for about an hour and a half before we all get up.

Okay, I'm still of the strict no furniture rule camp. Now I'm wondering if this rule change might happen at my house. Cali does have a really comfy bed and rugs in every room to lie on.... I'm starting to feel like a mean mom I'd like to be your kind of failure Annmarie!
