Gene, I hope you get a break from "what's next"! Miko, I know the trip to the vet wasn't fun and that all you were thinking about was getting back to squirrel patrol. Take your meds to get back in tip top shape for being on duty. Cali isn't taking her usual nap after a walk today because she missed to many days of squirrel patrol at home when she was at the kennel over Christmas. It just kills her to think the squirrels were running around with reckless abandon while she was taken from her duties! Get better soon Miko!

yes....Miko is very routine oriented. She does not like to be out of her element. She loves to be with me. In the house she is always under my computer desk or under my recliner....where ever I am. She is very shy with new people. Even after 2 years, she still doesn't go up to some members of family. Until she really knows you, she will not let people pet her (pulls back) unless I put her in a sit. Even then, you can tell she hates it. If and when she accepts you....forget about ever stopping petting her. At night she HAS to have her head on me. I usually wake up to one of my legs being asleep..... I try to take her on outings to get her used to it, but after 2 years.....I don't think she's going to change. If I take all three or two of them somewhere, she's better, still not great. She was, is and always will be....my Velcro Princess!

Poor baby. Sorry to hear that Gene. Ollie also had Kennel cough in the fall. He seemed to get over it rather fast and was back to mischief in record time.

Update....Miko is fine, no more honks! Holly was doing much better, but woke me up twice in the wee hours trying to clear her nose. Poor little girl. But, as soon as the spells are over.....zooooooooom.....she's back at it!

Gene, are you sure that Holly isn't just doing some reverse sneezing? Scary sound, but normal and nothing to fear...

Sooooo glad that Miko is better!

I think it's actually the last of the kennel cough for Holly, doesn't sound like the sneeze, more like congestion. Oh, and Miko was honking again when I got home for a little bit......but I'm just letting nature take it's course. With or without the meds, it could last 2 weeks, so we'll just wait it out.
