Hi,
I don't know too much about martingale collars for dogs but I do know that the Gentle Leader (the one with the nose band) has been found to cause physical problems in dogs. It's very hard on the vertebrae in the neck and now trainers and vets are seeing a lot of eye problems from the pressure of the nose band. I have heard that the Easy Walk Harness is amazing. I don't think you can use anything but a flat collar and regular 6' leash for a CGC test but heeling isn't required. You just have to have a well behaved dog on a loose lead who will turn in the direction you do. The E.W.H. would at least teach your dog the meaning of the word heel and then make him/her look spectacular during a test. cate |

the EZ walk harness worked for us for awhile, but then Dex was pulling again. He does not pull at all on the GL. He actually behaves much better at training classes than in normal life, so we should be ok...I just don't trust our normal collar to be used on a leash. It's more of style statement and a method of holding his tags.

That's the only reason Pringle even has a collar!
