Is it common for labradoodles to change colour as they get older? Our dog was an apricot colour as a young puppy, but now, at 6 months, her coat is getting lighter in colour, almost cream coloured underneath the apricot, except for her ears, which have remained dark. There was one cream coloured pup in the litter she came from, so it is in the genes. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this.

Hi Jannine,
We have spoken before and I mentioned how much your dog reminds me of my Dunkin. We noticed that he has also turned from a deep apricot to a lighter apricot but the ears stayed dark. I had heard that the coats can get lighter as they get olde. My husband and I are hoping that this is the lightest he will get.
