here where i live Doggy doors work great for those in more populated areas such as subdivisions, or where they don't back up to the woods, and have a fenced in yard.

in the country it's harder due to wild animals and yes stray cats cats
years ago we had a skunk that got into my house 3 times hahahhahaa
what a fiasco!!!

HOWEVER if i were able to have a fenced area leading to my back door
i'd consider it as walking 3 doodles is a bit of work.

The Hale dog is the one we have in NH and I love it. It is quite and has no leakage very warm.

We have a cat door in our screen slider door that we used to leave open for the cats all summer. A while back in the fall when we stopped leaving the glass slider open, I was awakened in the night by a tapping sound on the glass door. I got up to find a raccoon giving me the "what's up" as it was trying to open the cat door. I guess it figured out that the dry cat food is kept right next to the door. It was bummed that the gravy train was over.
