here where i live Doggy doors work great for those in more populated areas such as subdivisions, or where they don't back up to the woods, and have a fenced in yard.
in the country it's harder due to wild animals and yes stray cats cats years ago we had a skunk that got into my house 3 times hahahhahaa what a fiasco!!! HOWEVER if i were able to have a fenced area leading to my back door i'd consider it as walking 3 doodles is a bit of work.

The Hale dog is the one we have in NH and I love it. It is quite and has no leakage very warm.
