My doodle Jack growls, barks, and backs away from my brother when he visits. It's kind of embarrassing and I can't put my finger on the problem. He is excited to greet everyone that comes to the house (after his usual warning barking) but with my brother it's all different. I read a thread about dogs sensing evil and I do believe that they do. I don't think my brother likes Jack and I know that he can be antagonistic with animals as I have witnessed this in the past (staring, sudden movements, etc). I want to aplogize for Jack's behaviour but at the same time, I want to see what triggers Jack.
Any ideas?

I think it's probably pretty simple. I'd bet my bottom dollar your brother isn't much of an animal person and Jack knows it, so.
Any chance your bro has done something to Jack when you weren't looking or weren't around? Not saying your bro would physically hurt Jack, but you mentioned he is sometimes antagonistic to animals. |
