1.5 year and still growing?

surely to god he couldn't have had a growth spurt in 3 days at 1.5 years old!!! 4 days ago I bought a great XL dog coat that fit (for 4 bucks on sale!!!), it fit fine, no issues... yesterday I put it on and it seemed smaller... The rear leg elastics were now pulling towards his front and the neck wrap was further down his back and the front leg/ chest wrap was tighter than normal.... fast forward to this morning. THe rear legs were pulling towards the front like crazy, the coat didnt reach his back, the neckwrap was hard to reach without it being tight and the part that goes down his chest then wraps up behind his front legs and across his back was now in the middle of his front legs... tonight, people thought I was putting it on wrong. so they tried... same thing even worse, it went on tight then as he walked all the velcro came undone. Its like he has grown 3-4 inchs longer in 3 days or the coat shrunk for no reason.
Is this even possible?? thank god it was only 4 bucks

that is weird..maybe the outfit shrunk?

or maybe he over ate during the holidays..

i know Toby s santa oufit shrunk a bit in storage..but, it stretched out
after he wore it after a couple hrs..

there was no way it would have shrunk in 4 days, wasnt even wet, if anything it should have stretched... I even clipped his hair before but his hair hasnt grown at all to account for this. I was reading that some dogs dont completly stop growing until 2 years or so, they slow down but have spurts still... I was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to buy another coat... I wouldnt normally, but now he has shorter hair and it was freeeeezing the past few days. Go figure, talking about winter coats and it is apparently going to get warmer again...
