My labradoodle puppy is 7 months old, and I was wondering when I can start taking him hiking or doing more strenuous exercises. We go on a brisk walk for about 30 minutes a day, and I've taken him for a few short hikes.
Also, he only weighs 45 pounds. His mom was 60 and dad was 70, and I was hoping for him to be that big. Will he gain another 15 or more pounds? His paws are still pretty big. Kona's mom |

WELCOME KONA'S MOM!!
Your doodle is still growing, and although 30 minute walks are good, you should avoid strenuous exercise until after 12 months. Sooner than this can cause harm to bones and joints. I know........we all want to get our little bundles of fur out there and start to enjoy their life to the fullest. But, it's best to wait.

they re still growing..in height until they re around 1 yr..then fill out for another couple..
but, as Lindamarie mention d ..avoid heavy exercises..even when they re fully grown.. larger dogs, even even fully grown can be harm d with too much exercise.. what disturbs me alot is seeing dogs running along side bikes on leash.. |
