Default Malcolm must be out of his mind!

He's almost 7 months old now. Hasn't had an accident in the house since August....except when he was sick last month and i didnt get him out quick enough. Sunday he took a deuce in the bedroom right after I took him out! He teetee'd outside. I didn't rush him. He peed and he decided he was done and headed to the door.

This morning I caught him in the living room getting ready to do a poo. In fact he dropped one before I could get him but he did finish outside and I lavished him with praises and treats.

I just don't understand why he keeps pooping inside all the sudden. He has been in daycare at PetSmart pretty often since I started working tho and they just go potty inside there so maybe that's the issue?

I found a very awesome daycare that I started taking him to on nice days because they can go outside and play. Or potty! Maybe I should just take him there so he doesn't get confused about pottying inside.

Hmmm...normally they don t like soiling their den..

im guessing a change in the living arrangements have caused some confusion as where their potty area should be..

There's been no change in living arrangements tho we haven't moved. Unless you mean the fact I'm working and we aren't home together every day?

I would agree that the Pet Smart situation might have started it. Ace is a creature of habit. We can see it in his choice of where he wants to sleep. When the weather is good (i.e. he doesn't have muddy paws) we leave the bedroom door open during the day and he chooses to sleep on our bed. That's also when he decides he wants to sleep there at night. A string of wet weather days, we close the bedroom door during the day and he sleeps on his doggie bed in the hallway. When that happens at night its like autopilot - he heads directly to the doggie bed......

Yeah I think I'll switch him to just going to the K9 Country Club and see if that helps.
