Default bath time

Hello,
We have had Zoe for about two weeks now and I was wondering how often we should bathe her. We have a tremendously large backyard in which Zoe likes to romp around so she gets quite messy with leaves and grass which does not help my allergies. I do wipe her down with a puppy wipe or damp towel after each outing which is quite often. It would be great to know all your insights to this because I do not want to bathe her too often and dry out her skin.

thank you!

We are getting a puppy in a few weeks and I had the same question. I went to the pet store to get puppy shampoo and saw they had puppy conditioner. Do you put conditioner on a dog?

We only bathe Daisy as needed, which is not often. She's so itchy already that I don't want to irritate her skin. But as for how often you should w/o drying out their skin I'm not sure.

Jasper gets so dirty!!

We give him a real bath about once a month. But in-between we have a 'dry shampoo'. It's by bed head for dogs. It's a spray (not really 'dry' at all) and you spray your pup down and rub 'em down with a towel. It gets the dust and dirt off and makes them
smell good again without drying the skin.

Jasper plays in the grass everyday, too... And with weekly trips to the dog park, we needed to figure something out!!

Hope that helps!

Sorry.

It's called 'pet head' for dogs

Usually I bathe Malcolm every 4 weeks. Unless he does something like...run repeatedly through a big mud puddle at the dog park

Waterless shampoos are great. I use wipes -
Amazon.com: Earthbath All Natural Hypo-Allergenic and Fragrance-Free Grooming Wipes, 100 Wipes: Pet Supplies Amazon.com: Earthbath All Natural Hypo-Allergenic and Fragrance-Free Grooming Wipes, 100 Wipes: Pet Supplies
. They work pretty well when you need a small type refresh.

And I use Earthbath Shampoo. I use a conditioner as well but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

just once a month unless Toby gets into more than a brush will remove..

i pour a small amount of shampoo into a bucket and the wipe it on his coat..soaking him completely without scrubbing..wait a few moments then just rinse him off..afterwards i do it again with a conditioner..

if its hot outside i ll walk him till he dry s off..if not i dry him off a much as possible..then blow dry..

if i must..i do as the rest..a dry shampoo..or just taking a hose to him if he gets to rolling around in poo..
