Another size question...
Our labradoodle is now 9 months old and only weighs 28.5 lbs. The breeder had said she would weigh between 35 and 45 lbs and be a medium size. She looks to be on the small size. Her mom was an 80lb apricot labradoodle and her dad was a 15lb chocolate poodle. What a size difference! Does anyone have any thoughts on whether she is destined to be a smaller dog or could she still sprout up to a medium size? We got her a big crate thinking she would be a lot bigger. I'm happy she is smaller but my husband I know was secretly hoping she would be a bit bigger. We love her either way though! Any thoughts on size? |

She sounds very similar to my Daisy who is considered a medium size. Daisy is now 39 lbs at almost 2 years but she leveled off in weight and size a long time ago. She stayed at 35 lbs for a very long time and just recently put on a few more pounds (I only know this due to random vet visits). I thought the minis weighed a little less than 28 lbs at full growth/size but I'm not sure on that.
