Has anybody heard of this? It seems to be a condition acquired by older dogs, caused by an enlarged prostate. Has anybody had experience with a 9-month-old puppy developing a perianal hernia, or could it be something else. I have called the vet but I thought maybe some of you guys may have heard of it. I adopted this little male recently, could it have come from trauma or what?

its not something that be cured..but, control d to some extent..
mainly thru a diet that would allow a easier flow of stool..the enlarged prostate makes it very difficult for them to poop.. my neighbor has a young boston terrier..and he seems to be full of energy depsite having the same problem..he eats a prescribed Science diet that s high in fibre and can d dog foods that add alot of water to the diet.. |
