I did not contact that guy, I will try to do that this week. Figured I would give an update.
For the time being Lando is staying with my girlfriend. Since monday he has been increasingly "scared" of me. If I pick him up he screams and wails. I didnt think that staying with me was fair to him. My vet suggested giving him a break and try again in a few days/week. She believes his anxiety may have something to do with the other dog in the house. Whether that is the case or not, he needed a change of scenery. At my girlfriends house he is a completely different puppy. Still afraid of me but does not scream, only at my house. Will keep everyone updated. |

I didn't know you had another dog. But, I can't see why that would make a difference.
Good luck to you in this period of separation. I hope this will be the answer.

So it has been awhile since ive posted. Update on lando
He is about 16-17 weeks old and a small 12lbs, still wish he was bigger. He is also turning white from his all black. He had a very small amount of white on his paws and not it is moving up his legs and even his face. I am very curious to see what he will look like once he sheds the puppy coat. I saw a trainer and we worked through some of his problems. He no longer screams and yells when I touch him. Which is always good. I am still 3rd on his list of playmates but he does respond well to me. He is very calm around me and rarely wants to play the same way that he plays with my girlfriend or roommate but I will take what I can get. He views play time with me as training and treats mostly, which according to my trainer is a great start. Slowly but surely I imagine he will come around, or atleast I hope. Biggest problem with him now is that he loves to poop visitors. We are having a tough time shaking this one, including my trainer. When someone new comes over he walks over to them all excited, jumps etc(training to break that) then poops near them. It is the strangest thing because he is very good about going outside and letting us know when he has to go. Ive began taking him outside to meet new people but he waits until he is inside to go. Strange |
