New Doodle Owner with questions

Hello all... My name is Erin I am the new owner of a "Doodle" puppy of some sort tho I'm really not sure what the other half of him is, lol. His mother is a purebred white standard poodle girl...Daddy was supposedly a lab...however, as you can see from his merle coat, something is in the woodpile somewhere.....It is my understanding that in merle coat color genetics the color is dominant....so that one parent should have shown merle...but the lab was black...and mom was white...so I'm not sure. At any rate, he is half S poodle and we love him. I just think he is the most adorable puppy I've ever seen, and I have 5 other dogs lol. I wondered if there is any way to know what size he will be...his mother was smallish...around 30lbs....the supposed father is normal lab size but I'm really wondering if he is truly the father....at any rate....puppy is 6 weeks old and 7lbs....I know he is too young to be from mom but "breeder" wouldn't let babies stay any longer and if I hadn't taken him he would have been given to someone else.....Anyway, is there anyway to guess his size? I'm thinking medium....Also...what are thought's on his coat type? A friend has his sister and she is very coarse and wirey...while my puppy is puffy and soft and seems to get fuzzier by the day....anyway...I love him so and am SOOO glad I found this forum. Here is a pic of my sweetie who is yet to be named.

I also don't have an answer to your question, but I will say that he looks A LOT like my trainers dog Hansen who is a blue merle australian shep.

I have to say that he is just adorable! When I got my labradoodle, she was 9 weeks old and 5 lbs. However, she was the runt of the litter. She is now just over a year old and about 50 lbs. You might have a big doodle on your hands!

My Mini-Doodle Barski weighted 7lbs at 7 weeks. Now he's 7 months old and weights 30lbs. His growth has slowed way down and I think he will top out at 35 ~ 40 lbs.

That is one cute puppy, are his eyes blue?
Judging by that right front paw he may get BIG.

Thank you all....I am just in love with him no matter what his other half is....and yes he has one blue eye....the other is grey. I also thought aussie and asked the breeder if one could have fathered the litter and sge says no but who really knows.....I also wondered if dad could have been aussie or catahoula mix and so heavily marked he appeared black? Oh well....it will definitely be neat to see what he grows into!

He is adorable, Brenna is 16 weeks and 22 lbs. She was 7 at 8 weeks.
Her mom is a doodle, blond and dad is a black standard poodle. She is very soft.
Not much help on your questions, though.

OMYGOSH! He is absolutely gorgeous!!! My morning PUPPY FIX!!

Are his eyes blue? If so, could there have been some Malamute in that woodpile?
If they're blue......name him Newman after Paul Newman with his gorgeous blue eyes!
